Following continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their thriving Manchester office.
With over 80 staff based in the heart of the city and more than 100 engineers across 7 UK offices, the team work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including commercial, high-rise residential, industrial, education, and infrastructure.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of structural engineering projects, mentoring junior team members, and strengthening the technical capabilities of the Manchester office. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading structural engineering design across a variety of sectors, from concept through to construction

Producing and reviewing detailed design calculations to Eurocodes using industry-standard software

Coordinating designs within multi-disciplinary teams using BIM and 3D modelling tools

Managing project programmes, resources, and budgets

Mentoring and supervising graduate and junior engineers

Attending client meetings, site visits, and liaising with contractors and other stakeholders

Carrying out structural inspections and producing technical reports and recommendations

Contributing to internal technical reviews, quality control and knowledge sharing across the business
About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:
-
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
-
Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE) or nearing chartership
-
A minimum of 5 years experience in structural engineering design and delivery

Strong technical knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry and timber design
-
Proficiency in design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Robot, or similar

Experience with AutoCAD and Revit in a BIM environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders

A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and project delivery
