Class 1 Tramper Driver Immediate Start DN14 GBP16 per hour

Location: DN14
Pay Rate: GBP16.00 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Contract: Minimum 4 weeks (may be extended)
Type: Temporary (with potential for ongoing work)

Venatu Recruitment Group are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in the DN14 area , who are looking for an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join their transport team.

The Role as a HGV Driver:

  • Operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with curtain sider trailers
  • Tramping work nights out during the week required
  • Delivering goods across various UK locations
  • Completing all paperwork and vehicle checks in line with legal requirements
  • Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of loads

Requirements for a HGV Driver:

  • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
  • Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than 6 points on your licence (NO IN10s, DRs or DDs)
  • Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph cards
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Duties

  • Operate lorries for the purpose of transporting goods to various locations.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, including flatbed deliveries when required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
  • Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a Delivery Driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Familiarity with flatbed operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
