Job Title: Teaching Assistant Tutor
Location: Winchester and Basingstoke (with travel across Hampshire)
Salary: GBP28,000 GBP30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (Until March '26) (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant Tutor to deliver engaging, accredited training to adult learners across Hampshire as part of a sector-specific Skills Bootcamp.
You will be delivering the NCFE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning over an 8-week programme to small group cohorts (maximum of 8 learners). Delivery is face-to-face across training centres in; Winchester and Basingstoke, Fareham, Gosport, New Forest.
In addition to curriculum delivery, you will support learners with embedded employability training including CV writing, job search, application skills, interview preparation, and key workplace behaviours.
All learners who complete the programme will be guaranteed a job interview arranged through a dedicated employer engagement team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who has recent experience in teaching support or education and enjoys supporting adults into meaningful employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver classroom-based NCFE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Support learners across the core units:
    • Schools and colleges as organisations
    • Safeguarding children and young people
    • Child and young person development
    • Health and safety in a learning environment
  • Embed employability modules covering soft skills, workplace readiness, and job search.
  • Design individual learner journeys using a variety of assessment tools.
  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and contribute to ongoing curriculum improvement.
  • Track learner progress through action plans, reviews and portfolios.
  • Deliver advice, guidance and pastoral support from enrolment through to progression.
  • Ensure all activity complies with safeguarding, equality and health and safety policies.
  • Engage with employers to maintain course relevance and promote learner opportunities.
  • Actively support learner recruitment through marketing and community engagement.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential :
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 4 equivalent preferable but Level 3 considered dependent on experience).
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification.
  • Experience of delivering early years, education or teaching assistant programmes.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging adult learners.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
  • IT literate and confident in using digital learning platforms and tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain cost covered).

Desirable:
  • Previous experience delivering NCFE-accredited qualifications.
  • Knowledge of employability and supporting progression into work.
  • (PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 4 equivalent)
