Hgv Class 1 Driver - AFTERS

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers (C&E) on behalf of our client based in Barnsley.

Hours: Choose your own AFTERNOONS of work and start times from 12:00 lunch, please note you must be able to work every Friday OR Sunday.

Pay Rates:

• (AFTERS PAYE): Monday to Thursday GBP16.87, Friday GBP17.60, Saturday GBP18.29 & Sunday GBP18.61
• (AFTERS ROLLEDUP): Monday to Thursday GBP18.91, Friday GBP19.72, Saturday GBP20.50, Sunday GBP20.86
• (NIGHTS): Monday to Thursday GBP17.59, Friday GBP18.10, Saturday GBP20.69 & Sunday GBP21.96 PAYE
• (NIGHTS ROLLEDUP): Monday to Thursday GBP19.71, Friday GBP20.28, Saturday GBP23.19, Sunday GBP24.61

Location: Barnsley, S74.

Job Type : Long-term, ongoing.

The role:

• Trunking to one depot, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Working every Friday OR Sunday dependant on your choice.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Ability to work every Friday or Sunday unless on leave.
• At least 6 months' HGV driving experience.
• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of practical / theory assessment.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
