Skilled Bench Joiner opportunity available for a growing business in the Knaresborough area, working on standard and bespoke furniture in their busy workshop. The company offer a great working environment, they are well established with a low staff turnover and offer good training and multi-skilling to their workshop employees. The company supply kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom furniture to a range of industries and end users.

The role:

• Assist in the production of standard and bespoke handmade furniture
• Working from drawings to produce high quality components
• Operate Edge banders, routers, band saws and beam saws
• Assemble and fit furniture, doors and draws
• Cut, shape, drill and plane wood using hand power tools
• Fit brackets, hinges and handles
• Finish all items to a high-end finish

The Person:

• Ideally holding formal qualifications in Joinery
• Have confident bench joinery workshop experience
• A team player with a hard-working attitude
• Be familiar working in a targeted production environment
• Passionate about joinery
• Knowledge of working with a range of hand tools, saws and wood working machinery
