SEND Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Romford)
Start Date: 3rd September + per day Full Academic Year Potential for Permanent Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Romford , supporting a young boy in Year 3 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) .

You will work on a 1:1 basis , providing consistent support throughout the school day. Your role will include:

• Supporting social interaction and communication skills

• Helping to manage sensory sensitivities

• Supporting the child through transitions and changes in routine

• Assisting with personal and intimate care when required (including changing and toileting)

This is a full-time position starting on Tuesday 3rd September 2025 , running for the full academic year , with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Patient, empathetic, and consistent

• Experienced working with children with ASD (preferred, not essential)

• Confident in managing behaviours related to anxiety and routine disruption

• Comfortable with personal care responsibilities

• Committed to helping children achieve both academically and emotionally

• Location: Romford

• Hours: Full-time, term-time only

• Pay: From 100 per day (dependent on experience)

• Start: 3rd September 2025
