Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting a number of Production Optical Technicians to work in a clean, modern, and fast-paced manufacturing environment in Caerphilly, South Wales .

• GBP12.30 per hour starting wage

• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm - No weekend work!

You'll work in a production environment manufacturing ophthalmic lenses , using a range of standard operating procedures and equipment. Attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn are key for success in this role. All training is provided.

• Produce lenses using set operating procedures

• Operate and monitor production machinery

• Maintain clean and safe workstation

• Report machinery or workflow issues promptly

• Meet departmental production targets

• Support your colleagues to ensure smooth workflow

• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements

• Take part in regular cleaning and maintenance routines

• Monday to Friday

• 7:00am - 4:00pm

• No weekend or shift work

• Able to work full-time weekday hours

• Reliable and consistent attendance

• Confident using computers or hand scanners

• Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing setting

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills and team spirit

• Previous experience in optical, medical or manufacturing industries is desirable but not essential
