Server & Storage Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Server & Storage Engineer with strong experience in racking and stacking physical hardware , managing VMware-based virtual environments , and working with hyper-converged infrastructure platforms such as Dell EMC VxRail and VMware vSAN . This role is pivotal in supporting the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of both physical and virtual infrastructure across enterprise data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform racking and stacking of server and storage hardware including physical installation, cabling, and labelling.

• Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere , vCenter , ESXi hosts , and vSAN clusters .

• Administer and support VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure solutions including life cycle management and integration with vCenter.

• Configure and maintain SAN/NAS solutions and support storage provisioning across environments.

• Apply firmware, BIOS, and software updates to hardware and ensure systems are patched and compliant.

• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability for both physical and virtual platforms.

• Troubleshoot hardware and virtual infrastructure issues, working closely with vendors and internal support teams.

• Maintain data center documentation (rack elevations, cabling maps, IP assignments, etc.).

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution, backup solutions, and failover testing.

• Contribute to automation and Scripting efforts for repeatable infrastructure tasks (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Server and Storage Engineer or Infrastructure Specialist.

• Proven experience with racking and stacking enterprise server/storage hardware .

• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere , ESXi , vCenter Server , and vSAN technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Dell EMC VxRail , including deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
