An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Estimator to join a busy estimating team. This role offers hands-on experience and full training for someone looking to develop their career within the M&E sector.

About the Role:
You will work alongside experienced estimators, learning how to interpret technical designs, prepare costings, and compile tender documentation. A practical understanding of construction projects will be an advantage, helping you appreciate the full project lifecycle from installation and commissioning to maintenance across various sectors.

Our projects span a wide range of environments, including commercial offices, domestic properties, industrial sites, public buildings, healthcare, education, retail, and leisure, with contract values typically ranging from GBP50k to GBP2m . With the right training and support, you ll progress to managing your own tenders and estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of technical designs and costing processes.

• Assist in preparing tender documentation and supporting information.

• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.

Skills & Attributes:

• Interest in the technical side of projects.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

• Team player with the ability to work independently when required.

• Ideally working towards or holding a Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent) .
