The role
To work within a department, based at our Birmingham HQ on the Birmingham Business Park (near to the NEC
and Birmingham International Railway Station):
• Using internal systems to create documentation that will enable freight to be moved to customer
specifications, on time with all the necessary customs and legal documentation, including:
o Raise customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country.
o Collate all documents and distribute them to customers and carriers, as required.
o Preparing, processing and checking of invoices.
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients.
• Take requests and queries and resolve them effectively and efficiently.
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients clearly, precisely and accurately.
• Ensure that the departmental manager is aware of the status of all shipments.

• Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers and suppliers.
• The capacity to work in a high pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure.
• The ability to liaise with a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers.
• The skill to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to
detail and a high sense of urgency.
• A positive attitude and good problem solving skills.
• The drive to succeed and want to make a contribution to the business.
