VAN TECHNICIAN

My client is looking for a Van / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or a Car Technician with very strong PDI / Diagnostic skills for a site in Birmingham.

Location of the LCV Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Mechanic / Fleet Technician: Birmingham

Salary of the Van Technician / PDI Technician / Diagnostic Technician: 18.00ph (flexible shifts from 40hrs to 48hrs a week) PLUS OVERTIME

Hours of work for the LCV Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Mechanic / Fleet Technician / Diagnostic Technician: Flexible shifts available, can do 40 hours a week Monday to Friday or 48 hours a week over 4 week days.

Responsibilities of the LCV Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Fleet Mechanic / Fleet Technician / Diagnostic Technician:

• Carrying out scheduled servicing inspection and preparation for testing as required for all fleet and customer vehicles (Vans and LCVs)
• Undertaking regular safety inspections of Vans in accordance with the statutory requirements and repair defects as necessary.
• Inspecting vehicles to diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical) and repair as necessary.
• Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection, service and repair of all fleet items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements.
• Liaising with colleagues, vehicle operatives and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required.

My client will also consider VW / Ford Car Mechanics / Technicians who may have worked on some vans or Car Technicians with very strong Diagnostic Skills.
