EHS Specialist

EHS Specialist Irish Midlands Chemical Manufacturing Industry Salary circa €65k plus package Partnering with a leading global Chemical Manufacturing business, we are seeking to add an EHS Specialist to support and manage compliance with, and drive all company EH&S policies/procedures and/or regulatory requirements for the site. Duties include: • Support the sites overall company and regulatory EH&S compliance. • Support the development and implementation of ISO 45001 compliance across the site. • Support and implement as required EH&S programs to include but not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, Chemical Management (REACH, CLP), Waste Management including hazardous, Contractor Management, Process Safety, ATEX, behavioral based safety. • Provide EH&S guidance on projects. • Develop, provide or schedule with external provider, EH&S related training to/for departments as required. • Advise and audit the compliance of the EH&S programs in accordance with relevant legislation and corporate requirements. • Undertake incident investigations as necessary. • Maintain suitable and sufficient EH&S records. • Work closely with the Site General Manager/ EH&S Director and other departments to continuously improve all EH&S programs. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor s degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or related field. • Strong training skills. Preferably holding QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer or equivalent. • 2+ years experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry. Preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry. • Experience with work on Engineering Projects and New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects. • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, especially the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
