Responsibilities

• Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that goods are secured properly for transportation.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Handle any issues that may arise during transit, including vehicle breakdowns or route changes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
• Ability to operate flatbed lorries effectively, including securing loads appropriately.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges during transportation.
• Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
