Location: South Yorkshire + Alcester + Hybrid
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible to support business operations)

The Group Materials Planner will play a key role in supporting high service levels, improving supply chain performance, and enabling the business to achieve its long-term operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise supply chain processes including procurement, planning, and logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as production, sales, and finance to align supply chain activities with business goals.

  • Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance, and lead times to minimise disruption and maintain continuity of service.

  • Support the implementation of process improvements and supply chain systems to enhance visibility and control.

  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects focused on supply chain optimisation, sustainability, and innovation.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

  • Prepare and present reports, metrics, and analysis to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Proven experience in supply chain operations, planning, or procurement within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with supply chain systems or ERP software.

  • Driving Licience

Desirable:

  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or food & beverage sectors.

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices within supply chains.

  • Relevant qualifications such as CIPS or APICS.
