Transport Planner

Personnel Solutions are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our client in South Normanton, DE55. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising transportation routes and ensuring efficient supply chain management. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Hours -

Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday - Night Shift

10pm-6am

37,950 inclusive of 10% shift allowance

Duties

• Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements and enhance efficiency.
• Analyse transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage transport schedules and monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Utilise computer software to prepare reports and communicate effectively.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the transport function.
• Maintain accurate records of transport activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in supply chain management or logistics is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
