Psychology / Social Care Graduate - Teaching Assistant
Surrey and West Sussex

Are you a recent Psychology or Social Care graduate looking to make a meaningful impact before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, clinical therapy, social work , or pastoral care ?

We are recruiting compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic graduates to work in a range of specialist settings across West Sussex and Surrey, supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH , and other additional needs. We cover age ranges from 6 - 18, dependent on the setting you are working in. Whether you're looking for experience in a SEND school, Alternative Provision, or a mainstream setting with a strong inclusion focus , we can help find the right role for you.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Supporting creative and structured activities tailored to each child's needs
  • Helping children overcome barriers to learning and build confidence and social skills
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and senior leaders to deliver individualised support
  • Building positive relationships to understand triggers, interests, and emotional needs

Who We're Looking For:

  • Psychology, social care (or related) graduate with a passion for working with children with SEN
  • Strong empathy, resilience, creativity , and problem-solving skills
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (A -C or 4+)
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply (we can support this)
