Passionate Teaching Assistant Wanted - Crawley, West Sussex (Temp to perm)

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) - 35 hours per week - 8.30am - 3.30pm - Monday to Friday

At NextGen Teachers, we're working closely with a well-respected alternative education provider in Crawley to find a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a temp to permanent basis.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference - helping students overcome barriers, grow in confidence, and fully engage with their learning

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting students inside and outside the classroom to achieve their potential.
• Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning and behaviour plans.
• Developing strong, supportive relationships with pupils - you'll be a role model and mentor.
• Helping students navigate their emotional, social, and academic challenges.
• Providing feedback and progress updates to teaching staff.
• Taking part in trips, enrichment activities, and providing general school support.

Who We're Looking For

We want to hear from people who are:

• Empathetic, reliable, and patient - you understand the power of encouragement.
• Committed to inclusion and helping every child succeed, no matter their background.
• Comfortable working one-to-one and in small groups.
• Ideally experienced in a school or youth work setting (though full training can be provided).
• Willingness to complete enhanced DBS clearance and full compliance checks (essential).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
