Dressmaking Assistant

Now Hiring: Dressmaking Assistant / Sample Cutter
Location: Gravesend Salary: 12.50/hour (Temp-to-Perm) or 22,750/year (Permanent)
Job Type: Full-time Hours: 35 per week Start: IMMEDIATE

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dressmaking Assistant to join our friendly design room team. If you have a passion for fashion, an eye for detail, and experience working with dress patterns and bespoke garments - this could be your perfect next step!

Key Responsibilities:

• Cutting paper dress patterns for new and bespoke designs
• Assisting with the development of innovative, modern samples
• Preparing and packing samples for factory production
• Keeping the design room clean and organised
• Supporting with admin duties, including booking dress grades in/out
• Working closely with the design team to meet production timelines

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience (preferred)
• Good understanding of both written and spoken English
• Ability to work Monday-Friday (No weekend work!)
• Basic to advanced sewing skills a strong advantage
• Must be highly organised, reliable, and able to multitask

Working Hours:

• Flexible start: Either 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  or 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• No more than 35 hours per week
