MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join the maintenance department of a wate management facility in central London, just north of the River Thames. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and modifications across the site to ensure maximum plant availability.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Fault finding, repair work and planned & reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment including variable cranes, compactors, transformers, hydraulics, emergency lighting and conveyors etc.
• Attending breakdowns when required.
• Assisting with some basic mechanical work on occasions
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS
• Working with the highest regards to health and safety
• Managing contractors when required

This is a days based role working Monday to Friday 7am till 4pm

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A relevant engineering apprenticeship along with a qualification at NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds ideally in electrical engineering or similar.
• 17th or 18th edition
• At least 4 years of experience working in a hands-on electrical maintenance or servicing roles across a heavy process industry e.g., industrial site, waste management, recycling, water treatment or even building services/facilities management
• Some experience working with PLCs would be advantageous
• Ideally experience managing and directing contractors
