Software Engineer

This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to critical defence systems, working on complex projects that ensure national security and safeguard our freedoms.

• Develop software solutions in C++ and C# to meet new customer requirements
• Enhance the functionality of existing products within a team of 5-7 engineers
• Understand and integrate various subsystems within a delivery
• Involve in all aspects of development, integration, delivery into service, and service support
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the success of defence projects
• Utilise Agile methodologies (Scrum) to manage software development cycles

• Strong background in software engineering and understanding of its system-wide impact
• Proficiency in C++ and C# development
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with Windows OS lockdown and Automated Testing is beneficial
• Ability to work on-site 5 days a week due to workload classification
• Eligible for HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
