Our client are a well-established and growing metal fabrication company based in Rochdale, providing high-quality, bespoke fabrication solutions to a diverse client base across various industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive quotes for metal fabrication projects. You will work closely with the production team, clients, and suppliers to ensure all estimates reflect realistic costs and timescales, supporting the company's reputation for reliability and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to prepare detailed estimates for fabrication projects
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide professional advice where needed
• Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotations within deadlines
• Track ongoing estimates and assist in converting them into confirmed orders
• Work closely with project managers and production to ensure alignment between estimation and execution

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within a metal fabrication or related engineering environment
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes including welding, cutting, and assembly
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
