Merchandiser

Our client, a superb business in Leeds is a clear brand leader within their field with an outstanding and vast product range. They are experiencing strong strategic growth and as a result, are looking to grow and add to their Merchandising team. This is a busy and varied role and is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2-4 years' experience within apparel or consumer goods Merchandising. You may have a real interest in this area with skills and experience that align with the role as outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Forecasting & Planning: Use sales data and trends to forecast demand, support buying decisions, and align budgets with financial targets.
• Stock Management: Optimise stock levels, adjust intake plans, and ensure availability across channels.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor sales and stock KPIs, identify best/worst sellers, and recommend actions (rebuys, markdowns, exits).
• Trading Support: Provide insights in weekly meetings, flag risks/opportunities, and suggest solutions.
• Margin Control: Implement markdown strategies to clear excess stock while protecting profitability.

What are we looking for:

• The right candidate with the right approach is vital, we are looking for drive, initiative, and a real desire to work within a progressive business.
• Must have 2-4 years' experience gained within a Merchandising role - ideally within apparel or consumer goods.
• Degree educated ideally within Fashion, Business or Merchandising.
• Technically capable with strong IT skills, able to learn and work effectively with systems.
• A proactive individual who is collaborative and commercially astute.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work across a range of different products.
• Able to manage your time effectively.
• Any knowledge of AI tools and working with them effectively would be a real advantage with this role.
