HSE Advisor (Manufacturing facility)

I am seeking an HSE Advisor for my client in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.

The business builds electronic sensors and electromechanical/ electronic assemblies for the aerospace industry, as well as other industries.
The successful HSE Advisor will have production environment experience including manufacturing machinery, and knowledge of assembly processes.

Role: HSE Advisor
Location: Motherwell, Lanarkshire
Contract: 12 months
Pay rate: 18 - 25 per hour PAYE (DOE), plus holiday pay in addition

Candidates must already hold the right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.

Main responsibilities:

• Implement and ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organisation.
• Make EHS recommendations pertaining to the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures.
• Assist with audits, inspections & reporting.
• Promote best practice in all EHS standards.
• Serve as the company contact with all regulatory bodies.

Ideal candidate profile:

• A relevant degree with some experience OR proven experience in a similar role is essential.
• Professional industry qualifications are required. E.g. NEBOSH, IOSH.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards, e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Production environment experience including manufacturing machinery, and knowledge of assembly processes.
• Previous auditing experience.
