At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Operative to work in Romsey (SO51 9DG). You will perform operational tasks within the assigned area of the business, assist with training and improvement activities, and continually develop product and process knowledge while taking responsibility for your work and working areas.

Shift Patterns:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30

• Friday: 08:00 - 15:00

• Total hours per week: 38.5

• Two 15-minute paid tea breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break

• Occasional overtime available at an enhanced rate

Pay Rates:

• From 12.73 per hour (depending on experience)

As a Workshop Operative you will need to have:

• Self-motivation and excellent timekeeping

• Ability to maintain professional relationships and work well in a team

• Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude

• Good communication skills

• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Inspection Training

• Commitment to personal development

• Ability to read and write clear schematics for manufactured products using schematic tools

• Comfortable performing repetitive work

Role of a Workshop Operative:

• Support line management at all levels to meet business objectives

• Comply with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements

• Familiarise yourself with all activities within your working area

• Assist with inventory and stock keeping

• Maintain workplace cleanliness to exceed company housekeeping standards

• Ensure traceability throughout the manufacturing process

• Undertake any reasonable task requested by management
