Our client is a leading global manufacturer known for delivering innovative products to customers across a range of industries. With a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence, they are seeking a Stores Controller to join their team on a 3-month contract, supporting the business during a peak operational period.
Role Overview
The Stores Controller will be responsible for overseeing all inventory and stores-related activities, ensuring accurate stock control, efficient goods receipt and dispatch, and adherence to health & safety and quality procedures. This hands-on role plays a critical part in supporting production and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate inventory records using systems.
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and booking-in of incoming goods.
Organise and control the storage and issuing of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and cycle counts.
Liaise with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and timely delivery.
Ensure all goods are stored and handled in line with health & safety and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across stores and inventory processes.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a similar stores or inventory control role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Contract Details
Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm
Salary: 30,000 (Pro Rata)
