Stores Controller


Our client is a leading global manufacturer known for delivering innovative products to customers across a range of industries. With a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence, they are seeking a Stores Controller to join their team on a 3-month contract, supporting the business during a peak operational period.

Role Overview

The Stores Controller will be responsible for overseeing all inventory and stores-related activities, ensuring accurate stock control, efficient goods receipt and dispatch, and adherence to health & safety and quality procedures. This hands-on role plays a critical part in supporting production and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using systems.

  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and booking-in of incoming goods.

  • Organise and control the storage and issuing of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.

  • Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and cycle counts.

  • Liaise with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and timely delivery.

  • Ensure all goods are stored and handled in line with health & safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across stores and inventory processes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar stores or inventory control role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 3 months

  • Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm

  • Salary: 30,000 (Pro Rata)

  • Start Date: ASAP
