Verity Healthcare is a leading homecare provider committed to enriching the lives of our clients. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female worker to join our team as a Live-in Healthcare Assistant.

Job Role:

As a Live-in Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive, round-the-clock care and support to a client in their own home in the March area. Working on an alternative week schedule (specifically one week living in the client's home, followed by one week off) , your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with all aspects of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Medication Administration: Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
  • Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Companionship: Providing meaningful companionship, emotional support, and engaging in social interaction.
  • Mobility Assistance: Supporting clients with safe transfers and mobility around their home.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean, tidy, and comfortable living environment, including light cleaning and laundry related to the client's immediate needs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed daily records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the client's condition.
  • Liaison: Communicating effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the Verity Healthcare team.

Due to the personal care needs of the client, we require a female worker for this position.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in Care: Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or in a similar caregiving role is essential, ideally with some live-in care experience.
  • Passion for Care: A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Compassionate and Empathetic: A kind, patient, and understanding nature with a strong ability to empathize with clients.
  • Reliable and Responsible: A strong work ethic, commitment to your schedule, and a high level of responsibility.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Comfortable working autonomously while providing comprehensive care.
  • Basic Literacy and Numeracy: The ability to read, write, and maintain accurate records.

  • Schedule: Live-in, Alternative Weeks (One week on, one week off)
