Job Title: Plumber/Heating Engineer (Social Housing Contract)

Salary: 35K TO 37K PA

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our team on a social housing contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in social housing properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, in social housing properties.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and heating issues.
• Install, repair, and maintain heating systems, including radiators, and underfloor heating.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents and housing management.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Plumber/Heating Engineer, preferably with experience in social housing.
• Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with heating systems
• Knowledge of social housing regulations and requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls.
