Looking for a new role within a Data Centre? We're recruiting for an experienced, motivated Electrical Engineer to join our client's maintenance team. You'll gain exposure to an excellent, state of the art, critical environment, join a market leading company, be provided ongoing training and the necessary opportunities to progress internally.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will carry out Planned Preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, actively fault find / trouble shoot, general building maintenance, liaise with subcontractors, report into the Site Supervisor and ensure all the critical M&E systems are working efficiency.

To be successful in this Electrical Engineer position, you must be fully qualified in electrical installations / engineering (City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent), at least 3 years within commercial building maintenance, a good understanding of critical M&E systems and live within commutable distance to site.

Electrical Engineer Duties:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, Pumps, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Electrical Engineer Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in electrical installations / engineering (City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent / higher)
  • At least 3 years experience as an Electrical Engineer within commercial maintenance
  • Live within commutable distance to site
  • Great understanding of commercial M&E systems.
  • Experience in a critical environment would be desirable, not essential

Salary and Package:

  • GBP42,000 - GBP45,000 per annum
  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
