SEN Teaching Assistant Primary Support
Location: Shoreham
Pay: GBP90 GBP100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Do you have a nurturing approach and a passion for helping primary children with special educational needs thrive in their learning journey?

GSL Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse learning needs at a caring primary school in Shoreham .

The Role You'll work closely with children aged 4-11 who may experience:

• Autism Spectrum Conditions and sensory processing needs
• Speech and language difficulties
• Learning disabilities and developmental delays
• ADHD and attention challenges

Your focus will be on creating inclusive learning experiences, building confidence, and helping each child access the primary curriculum at their own pace.

You'll Be:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups across Key Stage 1 & 2
• Helping children engage with literacy, numeracy, and creative subjects
• Using visual aids, communication tools, and sensory resources
• Working alongside class teachers and SENCO
• Creating a supportive, structured learning environment

We're Looking For:

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN
• A patient, creative and encouraging approach
• Someone who's comfortable with diverse learning needs
• Team player with strong communication skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Makaton, PECS, sensory regulation training, or similar are a bonus but not essential.
