Are you experienced in supporting children with SEND or keen to develop a career in a primary special school setting?
GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Worthing, catering to children aged 4 11 with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties (SLCN), Sensory Processing Difficulties, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.
About the Role:
This is a child-focused, practical support role where you ll work closely with a small class group, helping children engage with a broad, play-based and structured curriculum. The school prioritises emotional regulation, communication development, and life skills all underpinned by consistency, patience, and teamwork.
Experience with Makaton, PECS, visual schedules, sensory regulation strategies, or supporting non-verbal pupils will be a strong advantage but if you're still growing these skills, you re warmly encouraged to apply.
