Salary: GBP90 - GBP110 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Kirkby in Ashfield starting from September 2025 . This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are dedicated, patient, and eager to support students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities for the SEND TA:

• Provide tailored one-to-one or small-group support for students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
• Support classroom teachers in delivering inclusive and differentiated learning.
• Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
• Help develop students confidence, communication, and independence.
• Work closely with SENCOs, teaching staff, and external specialists to support pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).
• A patient, calm, and compassionate approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively and respectfully.
• Relevant qualifications in SEN, Education, or Health & Social Care (preferred).
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting every child s success.
• Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
