Salary: GBP150 GBP220 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a skilled and passionate SEND Teacher eager to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a close-knit school community?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Kirkby-in-Ashfield . As a SEND Teacher , this role offers the opportunity to deliver personalised teaching and make a meaningful impact on pupils academic progress and wellbeing.

Responsibilities as a SEND Teacher:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND, in line with the national curriculum and individual EHCPs.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
• Implement behaviour management strategies that promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Contribute to the development and review of personalised learning plans and interventions.
• Participate actively in school life, including staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements for SEND Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.
• Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, preferably in a primary or secondary setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, strategies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Full, up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years , with any employment gaps explained.
