Role Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) , you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to students with a variety of needs. Your role will be vital in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA):

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND.
• Assist in the delivery of differentiated and inclusive lessons.
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive social interactions.
• Adapt learning materials to suit individual student needs.
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA):

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Ability to provide a ten-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent educational role.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
