Salary: GBP84 - GBP108 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about empowering young adults with special educational needs to thrive beyond the classroom? GSL Education are currently seeking a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive educational setting in Ashington.

Key Responsibilities of Post 16 TA:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners across a range of subjects and activities.
• Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
• Help implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support the delivery of practical, vocational, and enterprise-based learning
• Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students.
• Encourage engagement, positive behaviour, and participation.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.

Job Requirements of Post 16 TA:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
• Experience or understanding of supporting students with SEN is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are advantageous.
• Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
