Support Positive Change as a Behaviour Mentor Colchester

GSL Education is recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support Year 5 class in a primary settings in Colchester . This role involves working closely with students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and ODD, while assisting the classroom teacher with tailored behaviour and learning strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom routines, and transitions
• Help implement personalised behaviour management plans
• Build trust and consistency with students through daily interactions
• Promote a calm, inclusive, and focused learning environment

Candidate Profile:
• Experience supporting children with additional or behavioural needs
• Confident, patient, and consistent in approach
• Understanding of behaviour strategies and trauma-informed practices
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
