Pay Rate: GBP100 - GBP110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in schools across Derby . Starting this September , this role is perfect for someone with the drive to guide, support, and inspire young learners facing behavioural challenges.

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor , you will support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them manage behaviour, build confidence, and re-engage with their education. Your role will involve working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural difficulties on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Implement strategies to improve behaviour, self-esteem, and engagement.
  • Monitor progress and keep detailed records of behaviour incidents and improvements.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Promote a positive and safe school environment for all pupils.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor , Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or similar support role.
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to challenging situations.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
