Salary: GBP13.68 - GBP16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a supportive and dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bournemouth . This role offers the chance to contribute directly to the learning and development of young people with complex needs in a nurturing environment.

As a Classroom Support Assistant , you will work alongside teachers and therapists to support students throughout the school day, helping to deliver personalised learning plans and promoting a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

What you have to as a Classroom Support Assistant:

• Support teachers in delivering lessons tailored to the needs of students with learning difficulties.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to engage with classroom activities.
• Help manage behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
• Support with personal care and mobility tasks when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the whole school team to support student progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs as a Classroom Support Assistant .
• CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistance, Childcare, or Health & Social Care is desirable.
• A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
