Key Responsibilities of Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for students with mental health needs.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Monitor and assess progress, provide feedback to relevant parties, and adjust support strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with other support staff and families to ensure a cohesive approach to development.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment.
• Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and report to relevant parties.

Requirements of Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the community.
• Deep commitment to helping students with mental health needs.
• Relevant qualifications or training preferred.

• The right to work in the UK.
• An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one.
