We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work 1:1 with a Key Stage 1 pupil who has Special Educational Needs. The pupil is non-verbal and requires full-time support within a mainstream classroom setting.
This is an exciting opportunity for an LSA who is passionate about making a real difference in a child s educational journey. The successful LSA will provide tailored support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access learning, engage with peers, and develop confidence and independence.
Responsibilities of the LSA include:Supporting the pupil 1:1 in the classroom environment
Using visual aids and communication tools to support a non-verbal child
Assisting the class teacher with lesson adaptation and individual planning
Helping with personal care and emotional regulation as required
Working closely with the SENCO and other professionals
We are seeking an LSA with:
Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally with non-verbal communication needs
A calm, caring, and flexible attitude
Good communication and teamworking skills
A commitment to inclusive education
