GSL Education are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic English Teachers to work in secondary schools across Hull starting from September 2025 . We are recruiting for full-time, part-time, long-term and day-to-day supply roles to suit your experience and availability. Whether you re an Early Career Teacher or an experienced professional, we d love to hear from you.

As an English Teacher , you will be delivering engaging lessons in both Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and Key Stage 5 where applicable. You will play a key role in building students communication skills, cultural knowledge, and confidence.

What you have to do as a Teacher of English:

• Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 and KS5
• Develop lesson plans and deliver creative and purposeful instruction
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and provide clear feedback and intervention where needed
• Support students in developing reading comprehension, grammar, and writing techniques
• Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities

What we need from an English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
• A degree in English or a related field
• Experience teaching English at the secondary school level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for language and literature and a desire to share it
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
