The Role You will teach and assess learners across a range of programmes, act as a personal tutor, support curriculum development, and ensure students are fully prepared for progression into employment or higher study. You'll work closely with colleagues, employers, and external partners while maintaining outstanding standards of teaching, assessment, and pastoral support. What You'll Be Doing Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons across Entry Level to Level 3 Health & Social Care courses. Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support, tracking progress and achievement. Lead on course coordination, team meetings, curriculum development, placement supervision and assessment. Prepare schemes of work, learning materials, exam/assessment documentation and maintain accurate student records. Work with awarding bodies, external verifiers, exams staff, employers and placement providers. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion. Contribute to course reviews, quality processes, team planning and college-wide initiatives. Support learners into meaningful placements, employment and further study. What We're Looking For Experience teaching or training in Health & Social Care within FE or a similar setting. Strong sector knowledge and the ability to create engaging, innovative learning resources. A supportive, student-focused approach and awareness of pastoral needs. Excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills. A Health & Social Care qualification (essential). A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
