Job role: Support Worker Location: Witnesham, Suffolk Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 42 hours per week, based on a 4-week rota of 24-hour shifts (9:30am–10:00am). Waking nights may occasionally be required. Salary: From £27,518.40 per year, with potential increases depending on qualifications and experience Experience: 1 year in a children’s residential setting preferred Work Authorisation: Must be eligible to work in the UK- Sponsorship is not available Eleven 11 Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for the role of Residential Support Worker at a respected children's home in Witnesham, Suffolk. Job Overview: Our client is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They are currently seeking passionate and committed individuals to join their team at a residential children’s home that supports young people with learning difficulties and those who have experienced early trauma. Main Responsibilities: • Delivering person-centred care and daily support in a homely setting • Encouraging young people to achieve personal goals and develop life skills • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents • Working in line with statutory frameworks and care plans • Building trusting relationships with young people, colleagues, and external agencies • Collaborating with the management team to deliver high-quality care Required: • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Essential) • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (Desirable — or willingness to complete) • Knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Ofsted inspection frameworks • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in a senior residential childcare role • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills • Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people to thrive What our client is looking for: • Passionate about helping children reach their full potential • Emotionally resilient, compassionate, and reflective • Calm and professional in challenging situations • Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills • Adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of young people • Experienced in working with children (preferably in residential or SEN settings) • Hold a full UK driving licence (Business Insurance desirable) • Hold or are willing to work toward a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare Why Join Our Client’s Team? • Referral programme • Opportunities for training and professional development • Supportive team environment committed to career progression To apply please call us on (phone number removed) or apply online to (url removed)
