Purchasing Assistant

Actio Technical Recruitment are assisting one of our Electronics manufacturing clients near Huntingdon with their search for a Purchasing Assistant. The Company Our client is a leading contract electronic manufacturer (CEM) who specialises in Surface Mount (SMT), Conventional Through Hole, box build and electro-mechanical assembly and test. They are looking for someone to join their small, but friendly team to support with all aspects of the purchasing and administrative tasks associated with electronic components and materials. The Role Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the successful candidate will be responsible for: • Placing purchase orders to support production plans • Chasing existing purchase orders • Purchasing of sundry, ad-hoc and stationary items • Maintenance of vendors and associated KPIs • Building relationships with suppliers, different internal departments – including Production and Engineering. About You Some basic purchasing experience in manufacturing is desirable but not essential if candidate has other relevant administrative experience • Confident communicator • Proficient in use of Microsoft Teams and Office package • Self-starter, keen to develop professional career in manufacturing procurement. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunity for progression. Monday to Friday £23,000 per annum
