Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – Challenging Behaviours Specialist Location: Finchley, Barnet Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time Pay: SEN TA: £85 – £100 Daily Rate Full-Time, Long-Term Position Are you a dedicated and resilient individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours? The Role: As an SEN TA specializing in challenging behaviours, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to students, fostering positive relationships, and promoting a supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing one-to-one support and implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to meet the needs of students with challenging behaviours. • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans. • Supporting the inclusion of students with special educational needs in classroom activities and interventions. • Monitoring and recording student progress and communicating effectively with parents and staff. Requirements: • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in managing challenging behaviours. • Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs support are desirable but not essential.
