Quality Engineer - Precision Manufacturing

Overview
A leading manufacturer of flight-critical, complex machined components is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining the highest quality standards across precision manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans and inspection strategies for new and existing products.
  • Interpret and integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Conduct capability assessments, process validations, and inspections.
  • Analyse non-conformance trends and lead corrective action activities.
  • Perform audits, testing, and benchmarking to verify process capability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain quality documentation, reports, and control plans.
  • Provide training on quality standards and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quality engineering within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D, APQP, FMEA, Lean principles.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with measurement and inspection tools, including CMM.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable
  • Experience in precision manufacturing.
  • Data collection and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of calibration systems and gauge control.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Auditor certification.
