Overview
A leading manufacturer of flight-critical, complex machined components is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining the highest quality standards across precision manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance plans and inspection strategies for new and existing products.
Interpret and integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes and documentation.
Conduct capability assessments, process validations, and inspections.
Analyse non-conformance trends and lead corrective action activities.
Perform audits, testing, and benchmarking to verify process capability.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Maintain quality documentation, reports, and control plans.
Provide training on quality standards and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in quality engineering within manufacturing.
Knowledge of 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D, APQP, FMEA, Lean principles.
Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with measurement and inspection tools, including CMM.
Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience in precision manufacturing.
Data collection and analysis skills.
Knowledge of calibration systems and gauge control.
Understanding of GD&T.
Auditor certification.
