Senior Support Worker


Creative Support is a national, fast growing, not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Cookridge, Leeds.

Candidates need to be honest, trustworthy and work in a person-centred way, respecting the individuals they support and assisting them to meet their goals in life. Our Senior Support Workers should also strive to be the best that they can be and should take pride in their work. You will be responsible for providing respectful personal care, practical and emotional support, whilst helping to ensure service users are able to enjoy valued fulfilling lifestyles.

You will be positive and flexible in your role, accepting leadership from our supportive management team who will assist you in developing your ongoing career in social care. We have a range of courses available through our Training Department to further your professional development.

Your role will include:

  • Providing excellent personal care, administering medication, hoisting and lifting and helping residents with domestic tasks such as cooking/cleaning
  • Encouraging residents to follow their passions and take part in a range of exciting activities such as visiting the theatre and cinema, visiting the daycentre, swimming, meals out, and many more!
  • Attending regular senior team meetings, and supporting the House Senior in the running of house specific team meetings
  • Participating in our Local On Call
  • Working flexibly according to the needs of the service, which may include sleep ins

Our vibrant service in Cookridge is located on a main bus route from Leeds and is approximately 30 minutes' drive from the city centre. There is also a train station 1.4 miles away.

You must have at least a year's previous experience to be considered for this role.
