CNC Setter Operator

A growing manufacturing customer of ours in Oxfordshire are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join their machining department. This is a hands-on role for individuals with strong machine-setting experience, ideally with knowledge of Fusion 365 programming .

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate CNC milling or turning machines (depending on experience)
• Load tooling and run production cycles according to specifications
• Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Inspect parts using standard measuring equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings and adjust machine offsets as needed
• Collaborate with programmers and engineers to optimise machining setups

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in a precision engineering environment
• Familiarity with Fusion 365 or willingness to learn basic programming functions
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
