Manufacturing Manager

Our client, a well-established manufacturer specialising in high-quality, handcrafted upholstered furniture are seeking an experienced manufacturing manager to join their team.

This opportunity will be based at their site in South Wales.

Manufacturing Manager Job Overview

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the upholstery department
• Manage and train a team of approx. 50 employees.
• Plan and allocate workloads to meet production schedules and deadlines
• Oversee the inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., design, production, logistics) to coordinate workflow.
• Evaluate processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency
• Monitor performance and provide feedback to staff for continuous improvement

Manufacturing Manager Job Requirements

• Proven experience in a Manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in Upholstery and Furniture manufacturing
• Understanding of Manufacturing processes and familiarity with design specifications and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Manufacturing Manager Salary & Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 / Friday 07:30 - 13:30
• Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 (depending on experience)
• Voluntary overtime paid at a premium rate
• Fully on-site permanent position
• 28 days holiday per year pro rata
• Formal and Informal training
