Bell Cornwall Recruitment is excited to be supporting a long term client of ours as they seek a new Credit Controller for their accountancy team in Birmingham. This person will need to have excellent customer service skills, a great telephone manner and an ability to build constructive rapport with customers.

The Role:

• Communicating with customers to ensure payments are made
• Being organised and scheduling catch ups with any customers who are typically slow to pay
• Reporting on the state of the debtor book, and escalating any high risk and large debts to managers
• Communicating and setting up payment plans for customers unable to pay in full

The Ideal Credit Controller will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in credit control or debt collection highly desirable
• Strong numerical skills and a degree of financial literacy
• Strong attention to detail, able to spot anomalies and raising issues
• Excellent MS Office skills especially Excel
