Job Title: Recycling Operative
Location: Birmingham
Pay Rates: 12.60 per hour.
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, and Saturdays 8am to 1pm

Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative for our client specialising in recycling streams for individual clients. This is Temp to Perm ongoing position.

The Job Summary:
The role will be all waste management activities including segregating waste and processing waste for recycling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring materials are handled correctly for reuse or disposal.


Responsibilities:
Sort and separate recyclable materials (plastic, glass, metal, paper, etc.) on a conveyor belt or in designated areas
Remove non-recyclable items from the line to avoid contamination
Ensure correct disposal of hazardous materials in line with regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the working area and equipment
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to a supervisor
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed
Keep accurate records and complete any required documentation


To be successful you will need:
To be aware that the working areas are often out in all-weather terrain (full PPE issued), often sorting and processing Recycling revenue streams outdoors.
